As a new user of this forum, there are a few issues that i would like clarity on?
1.What has happened to the 'old' Scarborough Website that was paid for with Scarborough residents money?
2.The legless Oystercatcher used to be that of the Friends of Scarborough(or Scarborough Conservation Group)? What happened to that merry band of bunnyhuggers or do they just appear when we need to 'fight something'?
3.The reports on the Wetlands are extremely biased. to say the least. As someone that assisted in stopping development on Erf 766 years ago, you cannot portray such a one -sided point of view. Why has the property owner not been invited to air his views or is this not your agenda? By the way, in case you are wondering, we are not in his pocket because he kindly sponsored four pockets of fun for the youth.
4.Surely if you post a posting on a Community forum you also have the right to request its removal?
5.Why does this forum not display contact details and who the moderator of the forum is yet we must give you all our details bar our shoesize?
6.Please reassure me that Scarborough's new name is not Safarinow, as it seems that you have taken ownership of what was a community asset, the website, and called it your own, copyrighted it nogal, and renamed it Scarborough Conservation Village, South Africa?
7.With ref. to Scarborough photos of the moment, why no photos of the mess created by the surfers in playing god? Or must we just portray sunsets, rainbows and coffee on the stoep?
8.While i'm at it, who are the Architectual Advisory Committee at present because they also don't identify themselves when producing the document 'Scarborough Community Guidelines'?

Please respond, Mr. Moderator, whoever you maybe and put my issues to rest.

"Privacy Statement" [see below] invites you to contact "Scarborough Conservation Village" at matt@safarinow.com .

I guess "matt@safarinow dot com" is the same as Matthew Swart. The turist bureau, SafariNow, moved into the house where the restaurant "Cobbs" used to be.

On their website http://www.safarinow.com/ these phone numbers appear
Auto Attendant: 0861 801 802
021 780 1008
-----------------------------

Have a nice day :-)

Hi

This website was created with the intention that it is an open platform for anyone to have to have their say.

At this stage there is no official moderator, and no posts have been moderated.

The site was put together by Matthew Swart and is hosted by SafariNow as a donated service to the community, but the company has no other connection to this site, i.e. SafariNow is not the official contact point in any way so the phone numbers above will not be useful for any questions relating to this site! (you can email matt@safarinow.com for technical website issues)

Officially the site is registered in the name of "Scarborough ratepayers Association" PO BOX 43977, Scarborough, Scarborough, za, 7975.

The site was created with the approval of Graham Noble who represents the Rate Payers, and who is the main catalyst for most community email correspondance within the community.

We will be meeting shortly to discuss the issue of site moderation, and how to broaden the participation on this site.

Personally i would like to see this site grow to become a comprehensive resource for all issues Scarborough-related, and to bring clarity to many of the issues which effect us all.

Regards
Matthew
